LocalRecs helps you save and share places you recommend. We collect only the information needed to run the app, protect accounts, sync your saved places and lists, and improve the product.

Information we collect

Account information, saved places and lists, optional notes/photos you add, approximate or precise location when you grant permission for nearby alerts, and basic app diagnostics.

How we use information

We use information to provide LocalRecs features, sync content across devices, generate share links, send nearby reminders you enable, troubleshoot issues, and keep the service secure.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Content you intentionally share through LocalRecs links may be visible to people with the link. We use service providers for hosting, authentication, maps/place data, analytics, and app distribution.

Location

Location access is optional. If enabled, LocalRecs may use your location to show nearby saved places and trigger nearby alerts. You can change location permissions in iOS Settings.
